Michelle Yeoh’s Stunning Glow At The Screen Actors Guild Awards Didn’t Come From Highlighter

Just like the rest of the Crazy Rich Asians cast, Michelle Yeoh dazzled at 25th Screen Actors Guild Awards! In a nude Elie Saab couture gown, Michelle’s gorgeous naturally glowing look was thanks to a combination of Kiehl’s skincare and Dior makeup and makeup artist Daniel Martin‘s artistry.

“The focus is on a dark lavender-chocolate smokey eye! Using these tones adds the depth without looking harsh in photos,” explains Daniel. But of course, a good makeup look starts with good prep.

“Before anything, I used Kiehl’s Calendula & Aloe Soothing Hydration Mask as a pre-makeup treatment! The aloe and calendula calm post-flight skin, and I wiped it off with a warm wash cloth, giving the skin a hydrated and glowing finish.”

As you prep your skin for any event, don’t neglect your lips! According to Daniel, the Kiehl’s Buttermask for Lips is also a great pre-treatment for any liquid lipstick.

But what really sets the look apart is how he chose to highlight her skin! Instead of the usual cream or powder highlighter or even makeup at all, Daniel turned to skincare for a glow. “After her foundation and complexion was finished, I used Kiehl’s Daily Reviving Concentrate as a highlighter. It doesn’t interrupt the foundation and gives the skin a glow that looks like skin!”

The product is a blend of light skin-loving oils that nourish and moisturise skin while imparting a radiant sheen.
