Falsies are usually a one time wear thing. After all that eyelash glue and double coats of mascara you’d think there’s no way you can reuse it right? Throwing ’em seems like a waste especially if you’ve invested on expensive falsies, of course, you’d want to make your money’s worth and stretch the wearability for as long as you can. Well after scouring the interweb for a solution, we stumbled upon Huda Kattan‘s (from Huda Beauty) tricks to make sure you’d get at least 20 wears out of that false eyelashes. Yes, 20 times!
Here’s what you need:
1. Micellar water / Makeup Remover
2. Cotton pads (3-4)
3. Cotton Swab (1)
Step 1 – Gently peel away the eyelash glue from the falsies by using the tweezers
Step 2 – Soak the first cotton pad with micellar water or makeup remover and place the falsies on it. Soak another cotton pad and sandwich the lashes. Lightly press on the cotton pad to saturate the lashes and let it sit for 30 seconds.
Step 3 – Take the lashes and place it on a dry cotton pad and with a micellar water or makeup remover soaked cotton swab, wipe away any excess mascara on the lashes.
Step 4 – Using the clean end of the cotton swab, wipe the lashes again to make sure there’s no residue left.
We suggest you keep those falsies safe and in shape by storing it back in its box. To make sure they stay in shape, secure the lash band firmly.
