When you’re a longtime fan of a brand, it’ll be an absolute dream to receive an offer for a collaboration and that’s what Jason Wu exactly just had with Caudalie.
Being a loyal customer of French cosmetics brand Caudalie for years, Jason Wu and Caudalie founder Mathilde Thomas kept things on a lock down and collaborated to design a limited edition bottle of Caudalie’s cult product, the Beauty Elixir. Let’s just say the bottle is so pretty we might need to cop one just for the aesthetics!
“I imagined how I intend to dress the Jason Wu woman, which is about refinement and sophistication,” Jason said about the Collector’s Edition. “The lace, a code of the house, which I decided to apply to the outside of the Beauty Elixir bottle, is from my Spring/Summer 2016 collection.”
The delicate lace pattern was crafted by Jason’s own hands, while the gold cap was inspired by his iconic Diane bag from his eponymous brand.
Used by many celebs as well as makeup artists around the world. Jason explained that the hydrating part-mist-part-toner is great during show prep, “Once in the morning straight out of the shower and to refresh throughout the day.” Meanwhile, Mathilde uses it in the mornings and on long flights, telling us, “I have a large bottle at home and the travel size in my purse. I swear, I must spray Beauty Elixir on my face at least twenty times a day!”
