Is Chiara Ferragni’s wedding the most Instagrammed wedding of all time? It might as well be! The fashion icon, blogger, and entrepreneur wed Italian rapper Federico Leonardo “Fedez” Lucia last Saturday in a gorgeous location at the Dimora delle Balze in Noto.
On her wedding day, Chiara brought not one, not two but three dresses for the special occasion, thanks to Maria Grazia Chiuri for making three one-of-a-kind dresses by Dior (which we’re currently obsessed with)!
And with three complete looks, of course, the makeup has to compliment the dresses as well. Chiara brought in her friend and Italian makeup-artist Manuele Mameli. Manuele has worked with the bride-of-the-moment for over three years, so who better to do her wedding makeup look than him, right?
Using Lancôme products, Manuele told Vogue Italia, they decided with three makeup looks and although they’re different from one another, it doesn’t stray too far away from their main goal – which is to make the bride look as natural as possible and to let her personality shine.
Here the makeup-artist revealed the exact products he used via his Instagram for Chiara’s Grace Kelly-inspired custom Dior dress for her wedding ceremony.
To prep, he used the Génifique Yeaux Light Pearl mask, and the Prep and Matte Primer.
For the base, apply a thin layer of the Facial Care Hydra Zen BB Cream followed by a little concealer using the Teint Idole Ultra Wear camouflage. He then sets everything with the Fix It Forget It setting spray.
For her eyes, Manuele packed on the Monsieur Big waterproof mascara to open her eyes complimented with a subtle shimmering pearly-smoky eye makeup using the Hypnôse Palette Matte Palette 108 Beige-Brule.
To emphasise Chiara’s blue eyes, he used illuminators in the inner corner of her eyes as well adding some under the arch of the eyebrow to highlight her face.
To finish off, l’Absolu Rouge 501 Drama Matte was used on her lips for that natural look.
For any bride, the key to achieve a flawless makeup look on your big day is to prep the skin the night or a few days before. Use a highly moisturising night cream, use scrubs and hydrating masks regularly, he told Vogue Italia.
