Just like how you’d instinctively know that junk food is bad, you’d immediately acknowledge aloe vera as being something good. But apart from treating burns and acne, and being used as a laxative, there are other reasons why it’s worshipped in the world of beauty.
1. It reduces dandruff
Who wants those white flakes in their hair, right? If you’re looking for a natural method to cure your D-problem, aloe vera is your friend. Just rub its gel or juice directly onto your scalp and leave it on for about 15 minutes before rinsing it out.
2. It moisturises oily skin
It can be quite a headache to have skin that’s both oily and dehydrated, so your best bet is to go natural. Apply clear aloe vera gel to your skin daily, in the morning and at night, as well as after washing and drying your face. It’ll absorb fast without leaving any heavy residue on your skin while giving it sufficient hydration.
3. It repairs dry and damaged hair
If you’re still not seeing results with all the conditioning you do, try using aloe gel as a conditioner instead! It’ll not only restore moisture into your strands but fortify it against further damaging effects. This is especially useful if you’re prone to changing hair colours or using heat styling tools.
4. It’s anti-ageing
Worried about wrinkles and dull skin? With a plethora of antioxidants such as beta carotene and Vitamin C and E, aloe gel can help ease you of those skin concerns. Besides improving the skin’s natural firmness, it also helps to keep the skin hydrated and vibrant-looking!
5. It makes feet smooth AND soft
Prince Charming would approve of this. Pamper your feet with an exfoliating foot mask made from 1/2 cup of oatmeal, 1/2 cup of corn meal, four tablespoons of aloe vera and 1/2 cup of unscented body lotion. Just mix them all together and massage it onto your feet before rinsing it with water.
