While she has been under fire for some of her comments regarding ethnicity in the past, Lily shows off her Filipino heritage loud and proud in the interviews we’ve read of her. Read on for some of her thoughts on beauty.
FEMALE: You manage to look amazing every time, despite travelling long-haul. Can you share some of your in-flight skincare tips?
“I never go without bringing makeup wipes on the plane to remove all my makeup and I always make sure that I have a moisturiser with me at all times. My tip is to make sure it’s under 100ml otherwise it’ll get confiscated. As soon as I arrive to my destination, I take a shower and put on a face mask. My skin gets so dry on the plane and travelling is the only other time that I ever get pimples so I always have to be diligent with my skincare.”
F: From your Instagram page, we can see that you favour the minimal makeup look with a touch of liner, mascara and a nude lip. What’s your favourite makeup product at the moment?
“Gloss is definitely making a comeback. I’m normally a matte girl but I do like a little shine every now and then.”
F: Many girls around the world are emulating your fashion style. Can you describe it in three words?
“Comfortable, simple and sexy.”
F: Is there a place that you go to retreat from the madness of your busy life?
“Yes, my happy place is definitely at home in bed!”
