Back when I wrote about my 9-step morning skincare routine, I mentioned that good skin may be in your genes, but it also takes a lot of dedication and discipline. That’s especially true when it comes to your evening skincare routine. Because when you get back from an exhausting day at work, all you want to do is dive straight into bed and not move.
But good skin takes effort.
My path to good skin requires keeping my skin hydrated (especially when you’re about to spend the night in an air-conditioned room) while taking care of niggling problems like hyperpigmentation, old scars, bumps, and new pimples, and I think I’ve devised the perfect routine to do just that. So here’s my full 11-step night time routine!
1. Oil Cleanser: Rohto Hadalabo Gokujun Cleansing Oil
A non-negotiable part of my evening skincare routine: oil cleanser. While it works beautifully to get off all my makeup (including my apocalypse-proof mascara), it’s also a must-have on non-makeup days for getting every bit of sunscreen off. Plus it makes my face super soft.
